Inside/Outside constructs frameworks of interpretation for architecture and landscape architecture, and discloses relations between them which are normally overlooked. About the Author
Anita Berrizbeitia is a landscape architect who has worked on a broad range of projects, from public spaces and campuses to residential gardens. She taught in the department of Landscape Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design from 1992-1998, and is currently Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Arts. Her essays have been published in Architecture + Urbanism (A+U), Public Art Review, and others.
Linda Pollak is a principal in the New York firm of Marpillero Pollak Architects and teaches at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her own projects between architecture and landscape have been recognized in competitions and exhibitions, received awards, and been published in the Designed Landscape Forum I, House and Garden, Daidalos, Journal of Architectural Education, Pages Paysages, l'Arca, and Casabella. Ms. Pollak is a winner of the Young Architects Competition, sponsored by the Architectural League of New York.
